How to level fast in World of Warcraft - A Leveling Guide

Leveling

In this article, I won't be promoting any leveling guide... I will give you straight down to the earth leveling tips that don't require anything but reading them and doing them in game. They will help your leveling speed, and they are 100% free.

Leveling is something that everyone needs to do. At first, we needed to level to level 60, and then to 70, 80 and now with Cataclysm it's level 85. Well, there are some ways you can skip the wait and drudgery of leveling.

Recruit a Friend

If you use Recruit a Friend, you will level a lot quicker. The way it works is if you're starting a new account, you can link it to your own one. Now, if you play both accounts at once (or your friend gets the old one) you get TRIPLE experience. That's right, 3x experience. That will cut your leveling to 60 down to a third. It is the most amazing addition ever. Also, you get cool perks such as a flying mount with passenger seat.

Also, for every two levels your recruit gets, the original recruiter can get a level. There's a limit of thirty.

Want to find out more? Simply Google Recruit A Friend

Fast mob killing

Make sure you use the best weapons possible. Consider investing into Heirloom items. Heirloom items scale with your character as it levels. Also, the shoulders and chest each give you 10% more xp gained. That by itself can shave hours if not days off your leveling time. The weapons do quite a bit more damage than most things you can get at low levels, too.

Simply Google Heirloom items to find out more about them.

Train new skills

When your character levels, you gain access to new spells and abilities. Simply visit your trainer occasionally to get new spells. Stormwind and Orgrimmar should have trainers for every class you need.

Honor and Arena Weapons

If you happen to do a little bit of BGs while leveling, at level 60 (In Stormwind/Orgrimmar) , and at level 70 (In Dalaran) and at level 80 (In Stormwind/Orgrimar) you can buy the Grand Marshal/High Warlord, Brutal Gladiator's and Wrathful Gladiator's weapons. They are high quality epic weapons that you should get just at level 60/70/80, and they are WAY better than most quest rewards you can get and even heirlooms. Simply go to wowhead and search for those weapons or ask in trade chat.

Auto quest accept

If you have to click Accept/Complete each time when you do hundreds of quests, you can lose a lot of time. Go to google and google Auto Turn In Warcraft to find the addon that completes quests for you. It will save you a lot of time.

Mounts

You spend a lot of time running from place to place. If you could move quickly, you'd surely save a lot of time. Make sure to invest in the best mounts availible. Here are the mount requrements, make sure to buy the best one you can.

Riding Skill Available At Requirements Apprentice Riding - 60%
Level 20 Journeyman Riding - 100%
Level 40 Expert Riding - 150%
Level 60 (Allows for flying in Outland) The Burning Crusade Artisan Riding - 280%
Level 70 Master Riding - 310%
Level 80 Cold Weather Flying
Level 68 (Allows for flying in Northrend) Wrath of the Lich King Flight Master's License Level 60 (Allows for flying in Azeroth) Cataclysm

For example, at level 20 make sure to get your 60% speed mount.

Use in game quest helper

Make sure to turn on automatic Quest tracking. It will save you a lot of time because it draws on the map where you should go.

As you see, the game draws for you where you should go. It's really simple!

Skip quests you just can't do.

This one is simple. If a quest is bugged or not possible to do or you need a group or raid for it and you died doing it by yourself, skip it.

Skip dungeons

Unless you've got a really good group, dungeons will slow you down. Skip them.

Skip leveling professions

Leveling professions, unless it's skinning, is a lot faster if you do it while you have that 310% speed mount. It's three times as fast!

Join a guild

A guild gives you 10% more XP gained via the FAST TRACK guild perk. The guild + heirloom items will make you level 30% faster!

WoW Need Your Opinion?

So I have 700 gold right now and my friends mailing me 250. That will give me enough for the DK mount that can automatically scale up with your flight training level. I'm level 75 and I have a normal flyer and normal flying skill. So if I buy this mount for 950 then I won't need a new mount for epic. But I'll have to start from scratch to get 1000 for cold weather. Should I use the 250 hes mailing me so I'll have enough for cold weather? Or should I use the 250 hes mailing me for the mount so I won't need a new mount at epic. Please actually give me a reason. I just don't know.
I'm not level 80

what the problem? two easy days of heroic dailies and there is the 1k gold.

World of Warcraft - Leeeeeeeeeeeeeroy! - Tome of Cold Weather Flight

Diamond Trader

The warm breeze flowed softly through the air. The fronds bent slightly from its motion. What a beautiful day to be at the beach thought Eddie. Soft sand between his toes, warm weather and sand. It all combined as his utopia. Eddie was a confirmed "girl watcher". The beach was his favorite hunting ground. As he lotioned his muscular tanned body, he peeked around. Looks like is going to be a perfect day to pursue his "hobby". Numerous girls were sunning themselves today. Most were bikini clad, some sunned without tops. They were Eddie's favorite targets. He stretched out and started to relax.

Professionally he was a diamond trader. An honorable profession with a sizeable paycheck to match. He was single, his "motto" was "why buy the cow when the milk is free". Eddie has been working at his profession now for about six years. Previously he had been a SSG in the Army. His tour of duty completed Eddie resumed civilian life. Highly decorated for his "foreign" service with a lot of tales to tell his women friends.

Eddie attracted women like "ants to a picnic". Why not. He was a single man, well-built with an easy demeanor. Friendly to all unless they were less than that to him. Eddie had a dark side when necessary. His military training taught him how to fend for himself. Eddie thought this is a far cry from "army-life". How peaceful.

As a young man Eddie drifted from job to job. Never able to find his place in society. Then a "recruiter" called, "the army wants you. Eddie was impressed. He foresaw himself like the man that recruited him. Tall and all dressed up in full uniform. Medals, badges and insignias everywhere, shoes that you could see your reflection. Wow! Now that is impressive. Eddie was signed sealed and was finally delivered to recruit training

Zero 0500, Eddie awoke the sound of something clashing against the metal trash can. Eddie mused, so this is army life. The recruiter ? Forgot to tell me about this aspect of army life.

Boot camp was rough for the new soldier, but he was not alone. There were a whole company of recruits that felt the same way. What "bullshit"! Time passed rapidly and Eddie was ready to graduate. He joined the outside world, away from the confines of recruit training. His company was ordered to "advanced combat readiness training". There was trouble brewing in the mid-east.

It was rumored that his whole company would soon be sent there. Eddie was not deterred. Rumors were just that. This time the rumor came to pass.

"Christ" he thought how did I get into this situation? Eddie was a peaceable

man. Shooting and killing were not in his former life. How would I respond if I was forced to kill or maim somebody, he thought. Suddenly he found out. His company was ambushed. It seemed like the enemy was everywhere, shooting and mortars going off like "firecrackers and dynamite".

Eddie performed admirably. For his actions he was awarded the "Army Cross". Unfortunately it had come with two "purple hearts".

His tour of duty ended and he was released from his active duty obligation.

Using the "GI BILL", Eddie enrolled in college. Unsure of what he wanted to do at first he pursued a degree in computers. One day a company had representatives on campus taking orders for "class-rings". Eddie thought the prices were outrageous. This was his first encounter with precious-semiprecious gemstones and the price of gold and silver. He quickly decided that this would provide him a good life.

Eddie switched his major from computer science to gemology. He was surprised at how well he liked his new major. The study of gems was very fascinating. Eddie graduated with honors.

Eddie had no trouble finding a job with a gemstone trading company. His degree coupled with his knowledge of the middle-east made him a perfect candidate as a "diamond-trader". He became almost an instant success. His superiors were delighted how the young man handled himself. And how well be could buy and sell gemstones. Eddie stayed with high-end gemstones.

Eddie was relaxed but soon he came back to reality. He had a date tonight with a new girl. He met her through a friend. She was a Filipino girl. She seemed very friendly, and she was beautiful. Eddie went through women like most people go through clothes. He dated them for awhile then when he felt the relationship was getting "hot", he usually got cold "feet". Breaking off relationships for Eddie was generally easy. He just did not call the women or return their calls.

The hot water felt good over his body. Always did after an afternoon at the beach. He wanted to rest before this evening's date. They were to meet at a public place. He let the girl pick out the meeting place. Of course she picked a place where Filipinos hung out.

Evening fast approached. Eddie dressed quickly. Most of his wardrobe consisted of casual "tropical clothes". That is one of the things he liked most about the islands. Most of the natives thought formal meant their daily attire. Eddie left his flat just in time to meet this new girl.

They met at the restaurant. The menu was basically island food. Which meant lot of seafood and pork items. She demurely asked Eddie to order for them.

He selected an appetizer comprised mostly of raw oysters, the entrée consisted of a fish-pork combination, the meal topped by a local favorite, pineapple topped with a coconut cream concoction.

During the conversation Eddie finally learned her name. Some Filipino name he could not properly pronounce. Jingkie, pronounced Jen-Kee.

Eddie thought it would not matter because he probably would not see her again.

They talked and talked over the meal. Eddie found she had an interesting history. Of course, she was born and raised in the Philippines. Her family was poor even by Philippine standards. She had thirteen or fourteen siblings. Eddie thought "don't they have television or something" for momma and papa to do, other than produce kids. Even as unpolished as Eddie was at social graces, he did not tell her that. Her family lived on an island in a thatched-roof hutch. The children slept on unrolled bamboo mats. The flooring was dirt. The nearby river provided the family with an abundance of fish and turtles to eat. Her father worked at a nearby pineapple plantation. He earned just enough money for the family to purchase rice for their meals. The jungle provided dessert. Bananas, mangoes, and other wonderful tropical fruits. They supplemented their diet occasionally with wild mushrooms. The children early in life learned which fruits and roots were edible.

Jingkie left the island when she was around 18 or so (they don't celebrate birthdays with cakes and such). She really had no idea of how old she really was. Eddie found himself mesmerized by her conversation she spoke English well enough. Much better than he spoke tagalog. She was pretty enough and well-versed in the American way of life. The meal ended. Both seemed to enjoy themselves. They said good-night after the meal. Eddie really enjoyed the evening. Should he ask her for another date or not? Eddie smiled and asked "would you like to go to a movie this Friday evening"? Jingkie smiled slightly, "let me check my schedule first, then I will let you know". That is how Eddie found Jingkie's profession was that of a nurse. He responded "fine" then surprisingly he gave her his cell phone number. Eddie could not remember ever giving his cell number to a girl on the first date.

Could this be the start of a more serious relationship?

Several days passed and his vacation time was running short. About seven days left. He would have to return to his flat on the mainland. She hadn't called yet, pondered Eddie. Guess it serves me right. She is pulling my old trick.

The next day around lunch time she called. "Eddie my schedule is clear for Friday, would you still like to go to a movie", Eddie hurriedly replied "absolutely".

They met at the local movie theater. Ironically a new release that was filmed in the islands was playing. They talked throughout the entire movie. When they left neither could tell what the movie's plot was. They both seemed enthralled with each other.

Eddie asked if he could escort her home, she declined "I can find my way to my house, thank you anyway".

They dated through the next week. Eddie was now packed just waiting to go to the airport for his flight back to the mainland. They promised to "keep in touch".

End of Story…

Not yet!

They corresponded by mail, email and phone calls. While most of this tale is pure fiction. The love between Eddie and Jingkie is real.

Eddie and Jingkie are now married and live with their three sons David, Jr. and Adrian. Eddie still serves his country in the United States Army.
