How much farther can computer animation go?
I just finished watching the trailer for the movie Wall-e and wow, I can't wait to see it in a theater and I can't even imagine how much better animation can get. Do you think eventually the animation will look so real you won't even be able to tell the difference between live action and computer animation? Then again, what would be the point of that.

I haven't seen Iron Man yet but I can usually tell when action movies are using CG. You can tell because when they have to make a whole person or animal CG, it looks completely fake to me. (AKA spiderman, I am Legend animals and zombies, Chronicles of Narnia etc.)
Actually, with today's CGI you can not tell the difference between real and not real. Take most Hoolywood action moview for example, such aws Ironman etc. the boundary between reality and fantasy can nowhere be seen.
However in animation films, they forcibly choose to make it a little but unrealistic to make the audience understand that it is meant to be understaood taht way.
