World of Warcraft Merging to battle.net problem?

I tried to merge my WOW account to battle.net but when I log into battle.net and try to merge it it tells me "this account has already been merged into a battle.net account". When I go to worldofwarcraft website and try to log in with my battle.net account it tells me that I don't have a wow account merged. Is anyone else having this problem besides me? I tried to call blizzard but they are too busy and aren't accepting calls at the moment.

I am having the same problem. All the way down to the unable to get customer service on the phone. All I can tell you is from what I have been able to look up, we both have had our accounts compromised. I had to send an email via some form on the blizzard website to try to get an investigation started.

The advice from their forums is to consider this a serious issue and you need to check your computer security as well as looking over all financial information and otherwise to see if your identity has been stolen or used. So yeah it stinks, but Im right with ya. You need to start by looking for an email address to contact the GMs via email. Will take a day or two. Keep trying to call though and you might get lucky and get through.

How this will all turn out for either of us I cant say. I dont even know if my stuff will be on any of my characters if and when I get back. This is truly bad customer service but..meh. From the several google searches I have done it appears there are many that are coming back from a two year break like me and finding their accounts hacked or gone. Wierd..but there ya go.

DO I need WoW: Cataclysm to play WoW now?

I have World of Warcraft with Burning Crusade extension. However the login screen doesn't let me in. It says:"You may not have a World of Warcraft account merged into your Battle.net account, or you may be trying to login from a different region." I have my WoW merged in, and I'm still living in Europe, so I do not understand what the problem is. Do I need to upgrade my account from Burning Crusade to Cataclysm?

I am the WOW master, no you do don't. But to get all the perks that Cata. has then yes, but you can still play by not having it. You just wont be able to do some stuff that other people can do like, lvl to 85.
