Npcs in wow carrying wierd items.?

New to wow and some npcs carry Potions and Bread in their hands,i was wondering what they are called and how to obtain them,such as this guy http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/wowwiki/images/a/a9/Flakk.jpg
Who carries a blue potion bottle in his hands.

Like the others have said, alot of what the NPC's wear, carry, look like, cannot be used by us players
That being said there are stuff that we can use.
Also when people hold things or w/e its just to show a little more realism as well as roleplaying
Aesthetics if you will

Like i said before there are alot of things that we can use that NPC also use/wear
IMHO i think its cus blizz gets tired and lazy so instead of trying to make a unique npc they just put on what they already have in their databases
Like some important npc wear armor that we used to use like tier gear
or weapons that we used to/ or use now

WoW - Do profession enchants on your items disappear after you change profession?

You know - the one's that you can only put on your own items like

no they don't, but if u change ur profession while they're equipped they just lose their effect completely
