How can I improve my WoW performance on my MacBook?

More Info about my Mac:
2 GHz Processor
Intel Core 2 Duo
1 GB Ram
I never run anything in the background, and run at the lowest settings, but still only manage 5 fps in org, and 10-15 fps in raids
Graphics:
Chipset Model: GMA 950

The Macbook seems to be quite powerful, but the video card is probably where the Macbook is lacking.

Macbooks cannot be upgraded, so you cannot upgrade the video card in your Macbook. The best you can do is see if upgrading the video card drivers and the game to the latest version will improve your performance, but don't expect miracles.

Which Desktop Computer for Dad?

My mom wants to buy my dad a new desktop computer. She knows nothing about computers. My dad uses his Gateway every day, which he's had for several years. She wants to buy him an iMac because my sister has one and it's "pretty", but she wants me to do the research. I don't know if he'll want to switch from a PC to a Mac. I'm doubting it.

So I'm looking for a PC that stands up to a Mac in the areas of performance and reliability. Basically I want a monitor that wows him and a computer that resists viruses. Budget: around $1,300. I've thought about the Sony Vaio, but I'm very open to other suggestions.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Get the iMac. He'll learn quickly. He'll thank you for the lack of popups & viruses. It'll work without him having to work on it. There's over 1,500,000 Windows viruses, 99.66% of all malware is written for Windows computers. There hasn't been a MacOs X virus released since 2006.
