How Do I get my WoW Trial Upgraded to a Full Account?

I played the game a few years back, but quit playing shortly thereafter. I wanted to see if I still enjoyed the game, so I used a free trial pass and leveled my character to 20. Now I have a frozen WoW account that I haven't gotten on in a long time and a trial account both connected to the same Battle.net account. I wanted to keep my character from my trial account, but when I went to upgrade my trial account, I needed an authentication key from a purchased game. I'm wondering if it's possible to keep my character from my trial account without buying the game again.

How to activate my World of warcraft?

Ok, I'm new to WoW. I have a REALLY nice friend who just purchased all the latest WoW packs for me online, so the base game and all the packs. She bought them online. I have set up ac account and am currently still downloading the games. But i still don't know if they are activated or not?? Because i haven't entered a key or anything. I understand that i am still going to have to pay for the monthly subscription to play online, but when i go to, upgrade account, it says is still need an authentication key. So how do i claim the games that are now mine? Does my friend receive a code that i need to get off her or what? What do i do to get the games that she so kindly purchased for me?

Not sure how the online purchases work, but either you OR your friend should have received authentication codes for each of the WoW packs (Original, Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Litch King). When you install WoW you will be prompted to create an account, follow those instructions and it will ask you to enter the authentication key for that particular game. This ties that game to your account.
