WoW question... Need advice about Mage talents for higher levels?
My World of Warcraft toon is a level 47 pure Fire Mage (my first toon). She is very powerful - heavily equipped and does great in PVE, especially instances. However, reading the Mage forums I see that the Frost Mage is best for PVP... I have a dedicated protector (lvl 47 Protection Pally) and we PVP some and do great at it but we want to get a little more serious.
Any high level Mage out there with advice about changing over from Fire to Frost or maybe combining the two into a hybrid... How about Arcane? I am in a guild full of Mage and Paladin players but they all have conflicting advice.
Help! Thanks
BTW... I am a jewellcrafter and the Pally is an Alchemist so my toon has tons of extra spell damage from elixir's, potions, jewels and extra enchants.
well if you want a hybrid i would suggest a arcane/fire or arc/frost spec, when i was leveling my mage i was full fire mainly because i like to see big numbers
, but frost is way better to lvle with because you can pull alot of mobs and live through it( ice barrier) and frostbolt slows them so it give you a chance to run away if you pulled a bit to much
, now as for arcane wait till you get to a higher lvl 70... or 80 but for this spec you need to have a lot of mana because of mana shield , for raids the best spec is fire because you do good dps, alto frost is not that bad either, well i guess thats it i could write more but i really think that this is enough

WoW: Because my character isn't deleted, does that mean that I'm not banned for life?
Hello, I had my World of Warcraft account banned for spamming / advertising despite never having done anything of the sorts, or even used a chat feature that wasn't party chat more than once or twice to thank someone or ask a question, so that's about 200 dollars for playing a game for a month and a half.
But how greedy, cheap and unfair the company known as Blizzard is is another story, I can still find my character on the wow page, and I still have it as my avatar when I'm at the forums section of the site.
So is there any hope for a poor ol' chap to be able to play his paladin, once more? This time I probably won't speak at all, since using the chat function in any way is apperantly againts Blizzard rules.
One of three things have probably happened:
1) Someone has reported you for something you said. Or someone reported you for disagreeing with them. Or someone reported you because you were standing there and they were pissed about something else. Whatever the reason, Blizzard's policy is usually "shoot first, ask questions later". Email Blizzard support and talk with a GM to see what happened.
Or...
2) You were hacked. Someone got access to your username and password, either because you have something nasty like a keylogger installed on your computer or because you (naively) used the same username and password for WoW that you do for other sites and they just guessed. You are not the first person to be hacked, nor will you be the last. What's important is that you contact them IMMEDIATELY.
Or...
3) You're not actually banned. Phishing sites are notorious for sending out fake email pretending to be from Blizzard stating that player accounts are banned and that they need to log in to a particular site to regain access. This is where a majority of hacking occurs, as people are usually afraid of something happening to their account and will listen to what they think are Blizzard's instructions.
Blizzard will -never- send you an email telling you that you are banned. Ever. Ever, ever, ever. You will only find out that you are banned when you try to log on and you can't.
Whatever the problem here is, email Blizzard ASAP to get it fixed.
