will this laptop run world of warcraft and at what setting???

dell Vostro 1700,
2gb ram,
1.4 core 2 duo processor,
intel gma x3100 graphics,
Windows vista buisness,
120gb,
dvd-rw????????????
What video setting and if i increase the video memory will it do better performance????????

intel gma x3100 graphics > that's the sore point
else, everything is pretty much fine

please be informed that graphics on a laptop is simply not upgradeable, so please get it right > since you target wow on it
that you have not purchased it yet, is the good news
now do the needful, cause once you get it with the intel gma x3100 graphics, no way you can get those nvidia ...
the nvidia 8600m gt would be simply great > more so for the fact that you mention vista business as os, which itself eats into your resources, graphics included
the nvidia 8400m gs will perform lower, but sure better than the gma x3100
(just to highlight fact again > if you were to get it with the 8400m gs, upgrading to the 8600m gt would be next to impossible ... you will need an insider in dell to do it for you)

ram you can go up anytime, NOT graphics
so get it right first time & all the best on it

No. processor does not have enough power and cores to allow it to do as much processes required.you would not be able to replace graphics because the graphics are Integrated.
