Can you be a gamer and have a girlfriend?

I told my girlfriend when we were getting to know each other that I was into gaming, and she was fine with it. I think she assumed that when I said that I was talking about the occasional FIFA match or games like Rockband. Recently a conversation came up about one of her friends who she turned down when he asked her out (before I came along) because he was into, i quote: "weird monster games on the computer". I assume she was talking about World of Warcraft. Most of the games I enjoy are the type she would view as weird monster games, lengthy single player games like Assassin's Creed, Infamous, and probably the worst culprit Final Fantasy which can take 90+ hours to complete. So my question is, is it possible to be into such games and have a girlfriend? I can't really get her involved but is there some way I can get her to at least tolerate them?

OMG! I love Assassins Creed my boyfriend & I game together, we tag team on COD black ops, RE5, & Gears of war 1&2. I love gaming because it's fun, the fact that your girlfriend doesn't like it that much is her problem. There is nothing wrong with gamers. Be proud that your a gamer dude! I'd rather be a gamer than sitting on the couch watching tv all day. Besides if something like Resident evil would happen gamers would be the only people to survive because we know what to do, where to go & how to handle some serious sh!t lol if I can have a relationship with a guy who is addicted to video games than any girl can, they just have to except it, try having her play a game with you. She'll probably turn out to be a gamer herself who knows?

In the canada/viral video South Park episode, where does "I'm not your buddy, friend" come from?

I saw it quoted *before* the episode on the world of warcraft forums, so I'm assuming it was a youtube video of some sort. Can't find it anywhere though.
