battlefield 2 cd key invalid WOW!!!!???????!!!!!!?

ok so i borrowed my brothers battlefield 2 game but he lost the cd key to it so i installed then found a cd key generator and it said the cd key was invalid and i kept trying different keys but none worked so i got pissed and just went out and bought battlefield 2 collection with all 4 battlefield games. so i install it and put all that patches on it and stuff entered the REAL cd key from the box and then i try to join a game online and it says cd key is not valid. i tryed it on all 4 games and they all say the same thing i mean WHAT THE F*CK. is there anyway to fix this without returning it and getting a new one?? because i dont feel like going to walmart and going through all that trouble for it to not work again. so if theres any way anyone knows how to fix this tell me please? 5 stars to a decent answer

this is actually simple but it happens all the time...

C:Program FilesEA GAMESBattlefield 2Supportbattlefield_code.exe

Run it and re enter your CD code.

OR....

Sometimes the 1st option doesn't work. In that case do this: Click on "start" and click on "run". Type in "regedit" and a window will pop up. You will have to click on a lot of icons before you reach the BF2 spot. I think it is something like HKEY_CURENT_USER or something (I believe it is HKLMSoftwareElectronic ArtsEA GamesBattlefield 2ergc). Anyways, follow until you reach the Battlefield 2 folder. Click on "ergc" and modify the data. The top area will either be black or all messed up with random data. Delete this and enter "x9392YOURCDKEY" don't put in the dashes. This should help you.

I prefer the 2nd way it is more efficient despite the time it takes. I have had to do this multiple times so I know what I'm talking about.

ha, fail. Even if you buy an account (which will get you banned permanently), you would still have to buy the actual games. And if you buy the games (you can get used copies of all 3 for like 30-40 bucks on Amazon), there's no point in buying someone's account.

Just hang on to the card and save up until you can afford to buy the games like a big boy. =P
