Why does my Wow wont log in? realmlist.wtf problem?

I think its a problem with my realmlist.wtf... recently i played on a private server Wowbeez. I wanted to change to my Molten-wow private server and found out that the realmlist.wtf is blank... When i entered the default Blizzard server, logon.worldofwarcraft.com and so on... and i saved it .wtf. Then i tried to log in, but it keep coming out "Unable to connect. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact technical support at: http://us.blizzard.com/support/index.xml?gameld=11&rootCategoryld=2316 " . What should i do??

World of Warcraft realmlist.wtf question?

Alright, so an hour or two ago I wanted to play World of Warcraft but the servers were under maintenance. So I decided to try using a private server. I found one on the internet and changed my realmlist.wtf for the private server. I opened WoW and tried logging to the private server but nothing happened so I went back to my realmlist file and changed it back to the default. I later found out you can get banned for playing on private servers.

You can get banned, but to be honest, they won't find out. Unless you go into trade chat or talk openly about it in retail like saying "yeah i was on this awesome private server" and a player will report you. If you keep it to yourself they won't find out unless you have donated on the server, then they can sue you, lol. Changing your realmlist can be compared to the internet. Say your internet provider is your WoW folder, and your URL is your realmlist file. If you change it from worldofwarcraft.com to privateserver.com, the wow website won't know about it.
