Can I delete all of the patch files I've downloaded for World of Warcraft?
I play WoW on my Mac. Over the course of time, I have accumulated several patch files on my hard drive that are quite excessive in size. Is it safe to delete these? Are these files in essence loaded into the client during installation?
If the game is patched then you should be alright. Better safe than sorry though, delete the most recent patch only and then run the game. If it works out fine then just get rid of the rest of them.

Downgrading WoW to 2.4.3?
Alright Ive searched everywhere and tried everything. Somehow I managed to find a version of 1.12 that works great, I want to get a 2.4.3 version to play tbc content, everything I have tried just automatically loads it to 3.0. I even tried manually patching it to 2.4.3 but it tells me i need tbc content to play. dont know what to do...
I have already tried deleting the patch.mpq files and repairing but it just repairs to 3.0 and if i use an old repair it says it cant run it cause its too old.
Any way to fix this or has blizz really cracked down on the downgrading issue...
WoW always is reset to version 3.0 as it is the most recent major release. It's been this way since 3.0 was released. There's no way for you to play on official (or private) servers without being at least 3.0+
